We started this journey together
Rising upwards to the stars

Drifting through space

Sometimes we held tight
Sometimes we nearly let go
As we passed times dark and light
We shared every joy and every woe
As we float through the universe
And marvel at all of its wonder
I've been struck by a curse
One that would tear us asunder
I showed you my face
I told you of my pain
I wanted to keep our embrace
I hoped you felt the same
Your arms got some slack
But you never let go
I went on the attack
And could not feel so
I started to loosen
You tried for us both
I was trapped in seclusion
And tore up our oath
Out of our love I wrangled
You tried holding on fast
Our future I mangled
And nothing would last
We let go of our grip
With broken heart
It was the end of our trip
We started drifting apart
I still see you floating about
With every glance you're further than before
I want to reach out
And hold you once more
But once things are in motion
